🔧 How to Set Your Webex Personal Call Routing (Away) Greeting

If you're going to be away from work and want to set an automated call routing message in Webex Calling, follow the steps below.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Go to the Webex User Hub Portal

2. Log In Using Your Work Email

  • Enter your email address in the format:
    lastname.firstname@horrycountysc.gov
  • Click Next.

🔐 You may be redirected to a login screen for Microsoft or prompted to check your email for a verification link. Follow the prompts to complete authentication.

3. Access Calling Settings

On the landing page, look for the gear icon (settings button) in the left pane or sidebar.
Click on the gear icon to open the settings menu.
From the menu, select Calling.

4. Navigate to Personal Call Routing (Away)

In the Calling settings, scroll to the Personal Call Routing section.

5. Enable Personal Call Routing (Away)

Toggle the switch to On to enable Personal Call Routing (Away).
If the toggle is unavailable or grayed out, make sure features like Do Not Disturb (DND) or Call Forwarding aren't active, as they take priority.

6. Configure Your Away Greeting

  • Your Availability Status: This will automatically update to "Away."
  • Greeting Message: Choose a predefined message from the dropdown. This is the message callers will hear explaining your absence.
  • Away for: Choose the duration:
    • Select a preset option
    • Set a custom start/end date and time
    • Or choose Until turned off for an ongoing status

7. Set Call Handling

  • Send calls to:
    • Voicemail only
    • Voicemail or let callers transfer to another number or extension.
  • Notification Type (optional pre-routing alert):
    • None
    • Play ring reminder
    • Alert me first (set number of rings)

8. Save Your Settings

Click Save to activate the changes. Your Webex presence will now display as Away, and callers will hear the selected greeting and be routed according to your preferences.

9. To Disable:

If you need to turn off the Away message, return to the same section via the gear icon > Calling, and toggle the setting off.
